Overheard: Chris Rock throws Kennedy Center tantrum

We hear that during rehearsals for the Kennedy Center Honors that Chris Rock flipped out on a producer.

He was allegedly told to stand on a specific "X" on the stage -- but, since Chris didn't like being told where to stand, he said, "I'll stand wherever the f*ck I want."

Chris' tantrum delayed rehearsal for about 30 minutes. It is rumored that he will not be invited back ... "ever."

Diana Ross, is that a broken iPhone in your pocket ... or are you just unhappy to be in DC?

  Diana Ross -- who was looking va-va-voom at the Kennedy Center last night -- broke her iPhone during the festivities.

So, this morning, she sent her son, Evan of the new "90210," into a local AT&T (at 18th and L Streets NW) store to get it fixed. When he couldn't get results, the diva hopped out of her limo and took care of some business.

See folks, even superstars have to schlep it into the phone store and kick some mobile phone buttocks now and then.

This weekend: Watch for a 'Beatle' in Georgetown

We usually freak out when someone tells us there's a beatle crawling around. But, this weekend, we're going to make an exception.

Paul McCartney -- of The Beatles -- just checked into the Four Seasons in Georgetown, looking as hot as ever.

The superstar will be honored at the Kennedy Center Honors, which takes place this Sunday. We also hear the State Department has a special honor for him as well. That event takes place Saturday afternoon.

Now, this is one "Beatle" we wouldn't kick out of bed.

Who will escort Oprah Winfrey to the Kennedy Center Honors?

Earlier this week, we were wondering -- who will escort Oprah to this weekend's Kennedy Center Honors festivities? Would it be her BFF Gayle King (the editor of O, The Oprah Magazine) or her longtime BF Stedman Graham (with whom she has a "spiritual union" instead of a marriage)?

Well, we're still not sure, but Stedman just arrived in Washington, D.C., and one thing's for sure ... we are on the lookout.

Spotted: Gwen Stefani & Jennifer Hudson

Get ready to stargaze this weekend, Washington!

Our spies say that Gwen Stefani and Jennifer Hudson were just spotted at Reagan National Airport. Their flights landed within 20 minutes of each other.

The celebs are in town for the Kennedy Center Honors, which takes place Sunday. Merle Haggard, Jerry Herman, Bill T. Jones, Paul McCartney and Oprah Winfrey will be honored at the event.

Gwen, hollaback girl!
