Matthew Umstead | Our favorite "Cosmopolitan" centerfold -- who nixed the Massachusetts Democratic Party's attempt to hold onto the late Ted Kennedy's Senate seat -- apparently wants to get out Washington, D.C.
Well, at least for a little while, anyway.
Republican Sen. Scott Brown is bound for Afghanistan this year, not in his role as a politician, but as a lieutenant colonel in his state's Army National Guard.
The senator, a 30-year member of the Guard, says he requested the overseas assignment since, like other National Guard members, he has service obligations that must be fulfilled each year.
Scott, is it really that bad on the Hill?
