Matthew Umstead | Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's accident while going outside to exercise Wednesday is the most damning evidence we have yet that he truely enjoys the rain.
Given that it rarely rains in the mostly desert climes of Nevada, we give the 71-year-old Silver State native a pass on going outside today.
We are working from bed.
Anyway, Harry dislocated his right shoulder and got a bump over his left eye after he fell when he put his hand on a wet surface and slipped, an aide says.
The 71-year-old was later treated at George Washington Hospital and released, but was absent at the start of Senate proceedings Wednesday, with Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois, the No. 2 Democrat, taking his place.
