Cream of the Crop: First Lady invites creamery owners to 'State of the Union'

First Lady Michelle Obama is into healthful foods, but she isn't about to take away America's ice cream.
In fact, two special guests in Michelle's "State of the Union" (SOTU) address box were Kendra Baker and Zachary Davis -- the owners of Santa Cruz, Calif.-based The Penny Ice Creamery.
Using organic, locally sourced ingredients in its treats, this duo lives a sweet dream every day, making handmade batches of fun and creative flavored ice creams.
But, the launch of their ice cream shop wouldn't have been possible without the $250,000 Recovery Act small business loan that they were so happy to receive they made a YouTube video about it (below), which resulted in a call from Vice President Biden ... which led to their SOTU invitation.
The Penny Ice Creamery flavors we're craving? Olive Oil Sea Salt, Chocolate Ripple and New Orleans Coffee.
