First Family Attends Easter Service At Shiloh Baptist Church
Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 10:15AM |
Kelly Ann Collins | The President and First Family just arrived at Shiloh Baptist Church in the Shaw District to attend Easter service.
Founded in 1863 by freed slaves, this isn't the first time that Shiloh Baptist has hosted a politically inspired event.
The church also held the "Keeping The Faith" Inaugural Ball in 2009 at the Shiloh Family Life Center's Heritage Hall to celebrate the swearing-in of President Barack Obama and Vice President Biden.
Note: Last year, the Obamas worshipped at the Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
