Please donate in memory of Milos and Radovan (and to help their families transport them back to Serbia)
Monday, January 17, 2011 at 12:27PM
Dear friends,
We are seeking to help raise funds for our fallen friends, Radovan and Milosc, to cover the costs of sending them back home to their families in Serbia.
Both Milosc and Radovan were good guys who were truly loved. They worked at Josephine (Radovan) and Fly Lounge (Milosc) and were icons in the nightlife community.
Early Friday morning, when the vehicle they were in crashed, they were on their way home from work. [Article: Washington Post - Police ID men killed in crash on Canal Road]
If you have not yet donated, we ask that you please do as soon as possible to help us reach our goal of $30,000 ($15,000 per person) -- to cover transportation and other costs associated with getting their bodies home to Serbia.
Thank you to those that have donated and to those who have helped to get the word out. We will continue to update you.
If more is donated, the money will be given to their families -- which both Milosc and Radovan both worked hard here in the United States to support.
Thank you all -- and please keep spreading the word. God bless.
Warm regards,
Kelly Ann Collins

UPDATE: The donations have hit $31,265. Radovan will be going home this Thursday. Milosc's family might be coming here (I am told it is because of the expensive delivery to his homtown from the airport and funeral costs in Serbia). Thank you on behalf of everyone involved. This as been an amazing community effort that's touched our hearts. Anyone wishing to donate to the families of these young men may do so via the donation links, which will stay live this week. All proceeds are going straight to their families via PayPal. I'll post addresses for cards as soon as I have them.
UPDATE: As of right now, all events and donations in the past three days have brought in roughly $45,000 for the families of Radovan and Milosc -- $15,000 more than the original goal. This is an amazing community effort. Thank you to everyone who helped get the word out.
Radovan flies home Thursday, Jan. 20 -- Alain from Josephine is going with him to make sure all goes well and that he makes it to his family. ...
Milosc's sister is here in D.C., waiting on her parents to arrive. There will be a service for him here in Washington. We will post as soon as we know.

The least you could do is spell their names correctly.
