LivingSocial gets social for the holidays

Our friends at LivingSocial, which is based in Washington, D.C., hosted a fab holiday event this week.

Yes, even the executive team got their groove on as CEO Tim O'Shaughnessy, President Eddie Frederick, CTO Aaron Batalion, CIO Val Aleksenko and CFO Jake Maas (I used to work with these guys at Revolution) mingled the night away!

And hey, these guys have a lot to celebrate -- LivingSocial, which is the second-biggest website for daily deals, just got a $183M investment from Amazon.com to help overtake market leader Groupon, Inc.

Yeahzaa!

P.S. Buy a daily deal now through Dec. 24th and be a part of LivingSocial's 12 Days of Gifting -- which is a holiday charity program that benefits DonorsChoose.org and GlobalGiving.
