Train Of Thought: Amtrak Names Station After Joe Biden -- But, What Do Other VEEPs Get?
Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 11:30PM You know, normally Vice Presidents are regulated to the sidelines; meant to just have a pulse.
But hey, times change.
Joe Biden just got a train station named after him.
Amtrak officials recently changed the name of the Wilmington, Del., station to the"Joseph R. Biden, Jr., Railroad Station" in honor of the VEEP who famously commuted via train from Wilmington every day to Washington, D.C.'s Union Station while representing Delaware as Senator for more than 36 years.
Joe and his family were on hand at the ceremony this weekend, which officially opened the station after a two-year renovation.
We're still waiting for something cool to be named after another recent VP.
Take Al Gore, for example.
He created the Internet -- and all he got was a school built on toxic soil.
