Bush Declines POTUS Invite To Ground Zero

Matthew Umstead | Former President Bush has been credited for laying the groundwork that led to Osama bin Laden's death, but declined to join President Obama at Ground Zero in NYC this week to mark the occasion.
A George W. spokesman says he appreciates POTUS' invite, but wishes to remain out of the spotlight.
"He continues to celebrate with all Americans this important victory in the war on terror," says the spokesman.
Hmm ... for the man who landed on a "mission accomplished" banner-draped aircraft carrier to declare an end to major operations in Iraq 2003, his decision to decline the invite seems a bit out of character. Like a shrinking violet, perhaps?
Regardless, G.W. is expected to attend a ceremony at Ground Zero on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Now that we've cleared that up ... let's go join the rest of the world in celebrating Osama becoming fish bait in the Arabian Sea. :-o
