You know what sucks? Really strict office mandated dress codes.
You know what sucks even more? Office-mandated haircuts.
And, even though it sounds far-out, a Japanese construction company is encouraging its nearly 2,700 workers to get the same style of haircut.
For men, the suggested cut is short on the back and sides with a little length on top. For the ladies, it's a bob with enough fringe to be swept to one side.
Why?
The idea is that the hairstyles will be more eco-friendly, requiring less water to wash and less electricity to dry with a hairdryer -- something that's been big in Japan since the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster last March. It's also beneficial since their industry requires workers to wear hardhats and the haircuts prevent wasting time fixing and adjusting after taking them off.
There were some jokes here at Glittarazzi HQ about instituting a similar policy, but with the new hairstyle sported by Miley Cyrus, it didn't go over well.
