If you've been using Twitter on your iPhone, Team Twitter probably knows a lot more about you than you realize.
A developer recently discovered that Twitter has been uploading your address book to its servers.
This means the folks at Twitter know all of your friends, your coworkers -- and, yes, even your mother.
Apparently, what happens is this: When you use the friend-finding feature on your iPhone's Twitter app, the app stores your contact list information for 18 months. (Eek!)
Luckily, you can choose to have it deleted (it's in the fine print). And, Twitter will be fixing some of the language on their app to make it clearer to users about this whole shebang.
Nevertheless, it might be time to start thinking about clearing out some of the more embarrassing people in your contacts list.
We're talking to you, Anthony Weiner.

Editor's note: Now, laugh at me for being a loyal BlackBerry user. Muahahaha! :-p
