If there’s one thing politics has taught us, it’s that men in power have big mouths (and that they're disillusioned about the size of other body parts as well).
Most recent case en pointe: Missouri Republican Senate Candidate Todd Akin, of course, and his views on “legitimate rape.”
Though his own party is calling for him to back out of the race, Todd has one loyal supporter, Kirk Cameron -- former beloved child star and current religious zealot.
On Today's "Kathie Lee & Hoda," Kirk defended Todd.
“He said he misspoke, and he apologized for it. And I like to evaluate people based on their entire life, their entire career, all they stand for … I believe he’s a good man.”
Kirk, we think you'd better review Todd’s definition of “legitimate rape,” and his background on the female body, before you just dismiss those comments and hand him an endorsement.
