Lady Gaga caused quite the uproar when she decided to wear a fur coat recently.

PETA blasted her about the fashion statement, pointing out a clip from a former interview in which she stated that she didn't wear fur because she didn't want to make herself "a target, just like the mindless Kim Kardashian" (who was recently thrown flour on while wearing a fur coat in public).

While she refused to comment on whether the fur was real or not, she angrily tweeted at the press, stating that they shouldn't "forget to credit the designer Hermes."

But, she did take to her website to offer an explanation to her fans. While it is a weird move after her strong statement about disliking liking fur before, it is also true that she's adored for her wild outfits -- which have been made from "python, ostrich, cow hide, leather, lamb alligator... and not to mention meat."

She also defended Kim K., saying that the reality-TV star is "fabulous."

Whether we agree or not with Lady Gaga's views on fur, we do have to agree that Kim is fabulous, as is the meat-wearing singer herself!
