The Bryce Harper Love Affair Is Now In Full Swing In Our Nation's Capital

It's official: Capitol Hill is in love with Bryce Harper.

And he seems to be in love with us as well. (Yay!)

In a recent in-depth profile of the 19-year-old baseball phenom, Bryce pretty much let it known that he enjoys living in Washington D.C. and may stay here ... forever.

The big revelation is that Bryce seems to be of the opinion that he wants to be like Cal Ripkin or Derek Jeter, a player who spends his whole a career with one team.

"I want to be like that, Bryce supposedly told a teammate recently. "I've always wanted to be like that. I've always wanted to play with that same team."

He's even talking of staying in the area during the winter off-season, which only a few Nationals do.

And, with how he's been treated so far by the folks in the District, it looks like he may never leave.

"The best thing about D.C. is the people," Bryce told a reporter. "They are so nice and genuine."

He even added that it's that affection from fans that makes him feels like he owes something.

"Having a community and fans like we do in D.C. that love our players, love everything about us, we deserve to give something back to them," he said. "I want to do that. I don't want to do anything else."

So, where does Bryce, who lives in his own in an apartment in Pentagon City, hang out? Supposedly, he likes to go shopping in Georgetown when he's bored. He also grabs breakfast every morning at Ted's Bulletin on Barracks Row and is regular at the Clydes in Georgetown.

But, don't expect to see Bryce out at any bars.

Even though he's of binge-drinking college aged, Brvce, who's Mormon, isn't a big fan of booze.

"It's never appealed to me to go out and get hammered or anything like that. That's never been my nature," he said.

You're making us swoon, Bryce! Never leave our Nation's Capital!
