Young Conservatives Coalition Honors Buckley Award Winners

We were lucky enough to get invited to an exclusive Capitol Hill event this week -- which was presented by the Reaganpalooza (think uber GOP fun) specialists.

The Young Conservatives Coalition (YCC) -- the largest political gathering of young conservatives in Washington, D.C. -- hosted the second annual edition of its Buckley Awards ceremony at The Capitol Hill Club to honor five young people who have shown "courage under fire" for the conservative movement this past year.

The winners:

1.) Paul Teller - Republican Study Committee, Executive Director
2.) Matt Lewis - The Daily Caller, Senior Contributor
3.) Peter Redpath - The Federalist Society, VP & Director of Student Division
4.) Vinnie Vernuccio - Competitive Enterprise Institute, Labor Policy Counsel
5.) Amy Frederick - 60 Plus, President

The award, which is named for the late William F. Buckley, a well-known conservative who founded the "National Review," is a national honor.

"YCC has seen its membership continue to grow along with the success of our events," YCC Board Member Benjamin Hackett said. "They're great networking opportunities with some of the top conservative politicos and the D.C. area."

It was definitely a great evening. Thank you, YCC for the invite. And, congrats to the winners!
