It seems these days you can't even give a BlackBerry away.
That's because, well, everyone is already giving theirs back.
Gazelle, a buyer that trades in electronics for cash, has reported an 80% increase in BlackBerry trade-ins this past week.
Gazelle's "Chief Gadget Officer" Anthony Scarsella has said trade-ins are "easily the highest volume of BlackBerry trades ever seen period. ... In the grand scheme of BlackBerry growth over the past month, it can be pretty much entirely attributed to the launch of the iPhone 4S," he said.
This is the latest in bad press for the former king of the smart phones after millions of customers worldwide were unable to access their email and messaging services (without explanation).
BlackBerry did make a go of placating customers by offering 100 apps for free, but it looks like the company's customers aren't buying it.
Looks like BlackBerry is the new flip phone.
