Move over Wall Street, the next wave of protests will focus on the rising corporate threat of ... art museums?
Yes, the Occupy Movement has a new target: art museums.
Led by a small crowd of artists and students -- including a nameless MoMA curator in a gorilla mask who wished for their identity to remain anonymous -- protesters are now focused on what they call the "temples of cultural elitism," New York's Museum of Modern Art and the New Museum of Contemporary Art.
Among the targets: MoMA's $25 admission fee and "pyramid scheme of the 1%." (They even joined the picket line at Sotheby's auction house.)
Watch out cultural elitism, the Occupy movement is on the case.
