If you follow international news, then you're aware of the growing pubic-relations mess in the Vatican.
No? Too busy keeping up on the Drake-Chris Brown feud? OK. Allow us to explain.
Basically, for the last few years, the leadership of the Catholic Church has been caught in one PR disaster after another. From sex abuse to a bishop denying the Holocaust -- and, now, a series of leaks to Italian journalists exposing an inner world of cooption and cronyism at the highest level of the Vatican.
It's kind of like the the book "The Da Vinci Code" has come to life.
So, in an effort to bounce back, the church has hired Greg Burke, who's been a longtime Rome correspondent for Fox News, as it's new "Senior Communications Advisor" to help the Vatican to create a public message, as well as "stay on message."
It makes sense since Greg has a long history of covering the Vatican and is a practicing Catholic. He's even a member of the ultra-conservative Catholic group Opus Dei.
Wow! This really is just like "The Da Vinci Code!"
