Today, the College Board placed 857 empty school desks on the National Mall to represent "the number of students who are dropping out every hour of every school day." The event is part of the 'Don't Forget Ed' campaign about "the crisis in American education." As part of the event, college students are collecting signatures for a petition to be sent to the presidential candidates.
