We here at Glittarazzi set our own schedules (alarm goes off no later than 10 a.m. sharp), but we were surprised to find out that that the only people we thought worked harder than us have taken just about as many vacation days as they have work days.
The House of Representatives is in recess for their seventh “district work period” of the calendar year. The Senate is also apparently on a summer schedule year-round. They’ve taken four recesses so far, with another scheduled for the Fourth of July.
How fitting -- because hard work is exactly the principle upon which this country was founded.
Apparently, the Democrats developed a recess playlist in homage to their work schedule (which is set by Majority Leader and Virginia Republican Eric Cantor). Who knew our lawmakers listened to Pharrell?
