NHL's Alex Ovechkin Helps Make-A-Wish® As A Part Of ESPN’s 'My Wish' Series
Who: Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin and Sam Jacobson
What: Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin skated with Sam Jacobson, 16, as part of ESPN's "My Wish" series. Sam has T-cell lymphoma and his greatest wish was to meet his hockey idol, Alex Ovechkin, and to skate with him. The Make-A-Wish Foundation made Sam's dream a reality by setting him up with a tour of the Caps' locker room. They arranged for him to have his own stall -- stocked with hockey equipment donated by Bauer. He suited up and skated with Alex, Karl Alzner and Mike Green.
