Frequent flyers have a new toy to tinker with -- if they decide to fly with Virgin America.

The ultra-hip airline teamed with Rock The Vote to encourage passengers to register to vote while they're in the air.

This strategic move goes hand-in-hand with its new, non-stop flight services from SFO to Ronald Reagan National Airport, which serves our Nation's Capital -- and gives us one more reason to fly on those awesome Virgin airplanes.

So, how does it work?

The screens that allow you to watch movies on the backs of the airplane seats will now have a QR code that, when scanned with your smartphone, will direct you towards a mobile-voter registration app.

We love this! And, we'll definitely choose Virgin America the next time we need to fly to Frisco.
