Well, the June fundraising numbers are in for the 2012 presidential election -- and, boy, did the President Barack Obama's campaign get its butt kicked by the Mitt Romney campaign.
But, we're not saying that the Obama camp didn't raise a lot of money.
According to filings, the Obama camp raised $71 million, which is pretty impressive. But, the Romney Victory Fund was able to raise $35 million more (for a total of $106 million). Yeah, let that sink in for a moment.
The Obama campaign had about $147 million in its war chest at the end of May, and Romney's campaign now has an estimated $160 million in its coffers. It's all part of the growing trend of POTUS getting outspent this election (by the Republican party and SuperPACs).
Listen Mr. President, if you want to raise some money, we suggest charging supporters to opt out of those constant fundraising emails you're always sending.
Hey, it's worth a shot.
