The 2012 FLOTUS Fight: Ann Romney & Michelle Obama Have A Bake-Off

FLOTUS bakeoff 2012 6 28

Here's an interesting election tradition that you might not be aware of: the Presidential bake off.

OK, so, the name is a little misleading -- since it's the candidates' wives participating -- but, here's how it works. ...

Every election, "Family Circle" magazine asks for cookie recipes from the better halves of those running for President. It then publishes the recipes and readers vote on which one is the best.

The tradition's been going on since 1992 and supposedly predicts the election winner. (Of course, Cindy McCain's recipe for oatmeal butterscotch cookies won in 2008, but was alleged to have been copied from a cookbook).

This year, First Lady Michelle Obama re-entered in her recipe for white and dark chocolate chip cookies, which she got from her daughters' godmother. Ann Romney has submitted her recipe for M&M cookies, which her grandchildren love.

Check out the recipes, here, and vote on them via the "Family Circle" Facebook page.

There's some talk about trying them out here in the Glittarrazzi office. However, we're not really the baking types.

But, we do have interns. ...
