George Clooney, that handsome devil, rounded up his impressive list of Hollywood heavyweights to raise a little spending money for President Obama's campaign Thursday night at a fundraising dinner held at his Los Angeles home.
Tobey Maguire, Diane von Furstenberg, Jack Black, Robert Downey, Jr., Salma Hayek, Barbra Streisand and James Brolin all helped the event pull in $15 million at $40k a plate (from Wolfgang Puck, no less).
Dreamworks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg planned the event (obviously still living the high life despite the steep pay decrease he suffered this year).
Barack joked with George about being cropped out of one of their last photos together, which turned into that famous 2008 campaign poster of pop-politic art.
"This is the first time that George Clooney has ever been photo-shopped out of a picture," Prez Obama said. "Never happened before, never happen again."
