Three’s Company’s Chrissy doesn’t give up. And, I love that about her.
Several years ago, Suzanne Somers (now 64) wrote a book called “The Sexy Years,” which became a New York Times bestseller. It promoted bioidentical hormones, as a natural alternative to drug company hormones, for menopausal women. Suzanne claimed that these bioidenticals, which you can buy right off the Net, made her look and feel half her age. The medical community said that was impossible.
Later, she launched “Ageless: The Naked Truth About Bioidentical Hormones,” and “KNOCKOUT,” her latest book, which is a resource to navigate the life-and-death world of cancer and increase your odds of survival. Both of these books go against traditional medicine.
And today, she’s still fighting for our health — despite criticism.
Last week, she took on Capitol Hill, urging us to ask our senators to demand that drug company-favoring language not be added to the Senate version of the so-called Wall Street Reform Act — and that it not be included in any later House/Senate version of the bill.
This language would give FTC bureaucrats arbitrary authority to impose crippling requirements that will drive up the costs of supplements or remove them from the market entirely.
So, does Suzanne really look 32 (half her age)? Maybe not. But, I’d say she looks 20 years younger, and pretty freaking hot for 64. She also seems to know what she’s talking about.
