Stir It Again, Sam!

The Mayflower Hotel’s recently renovated Town & Country Bar has a new, tres yum, happy hour menu to compliment its 101 martinis , which is available twice daily during the week.

Stop by between 5 and 7 p.m. — and 10 p.m. and midnight — for $5 plates, such as filet mignon bites with horseradish cream sauce; french fries with black truffle, parmesan and parsley; and tempura chicken tenders with buffalo sauce, according to City Shop Girl.

Oh, and say hello to Sam Lek when you’re there … he’s been with The Mayflower, mixing its signature martinis (and doing magic tricks), for politicians, celebs and socialites for more than 34 years.

In addition to serving drinks, Sam is also the founder and president of Sam Relief , which is a charity that provides educational assistance to economically disadvantaged children in Cambodia (where Sam grew up) by building new schools and providing books.

The Mayflower Hotel is located at 1127 Connecticut Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.
